First Day of School 2008

Gotta love the first day of school! Zac is very happy to have Mrs. Ellis, she lets them bring snacks and talk in class once their work is done. We're hoping this keeps Zac from being a frequent flyer in RTC this year. Logan is also very happy about his teacher, he has Mrs. Hafemeyer. She is Bobby's mom (one of his buddies) and one of his vacation bible schol teachers. Go Eagles!!

20 years! You gotta be kidding me, I don't feel old! We all had so much fun - but that's not any different than in high school! It's great that you can pick up right where you left off with old friends. We are all very lucky to have the special relationships we do. Love you all!

Logan & Joey Sterner took on The Accelerator - 7 times!

Here we are at Knott's Berry Farm with scouts. There was over 100 of us that went on this years "Big Trip". We had a blast! Logan's favorite ride was The Accelerator, he and Joey went on it over and over and over. They were even brave enough to ride in the front seat! Zac's favorite ride was the Supreme Scream. As you can tell from the look on my face; me, not so much! I love the ride - it's just before knowing that I'm about to plummet to the ground that freaks me out. During the fall I'm ok - weird I know - but that's how it is!

2008 Pine Wood Derby Zac & Logan

Zac and Logan love the PWD! This was Zac's last year, so it was especially nerve racking. Zac and Logan had to have a race off to determine who was Pack 124 Champion! It was very exciting, everyone cheering and rooting them on! Zac was determined to take on his little bro and take over as pack champion, Logan won in 2007. It was very close - but Zac was the winner! Everyone had a great time and they were all great sports. The boys all high-fived and wished each other good luck throughout the entire event. It was great to watch the boys of our Pack act like young adults and genuinely hope that everyone had a good race! Congrats boys!

Here are the boys of Pack 124 that placed at Thunderbird District PWD, Dale Maus, AJ Casoli, Logan Moore, Zac Moore & Joshua Spahn. Pack 124 came out strong. Zac and Logan won in their Den's and Zac placed 3rd overall and Logan 7th. There was much confusion and Logan was awarded the King of the Hill Trophy. He knew he wasn't the actual winner and quickly spoke up so the true winner could be congratulated. Great job guys!

My Friend Matt...

Joey, Jeri, Zac, Logan, Me & Marianne(not shown - taking the picture) are visiting Matt's Memorial at South Mtn Park. This was pretty awesome, as it was the first time we were able to be there on the anniversary of Matt's passing. It was great to see some of Matt's family and Joey too. This was my boys first time meeting all of them. =)
